Electra’s full scope of capabilities comes to full fruition in the execution of large scale concessionary projects. From concept development, construction and infrastructure design and deployment, to long-term operations and management (O&M) services, Electra assumes turnkey responsibility for multi-year, mega projects as a special project contractor (SPC).
Responsible for the Long Run - Assuming a Concessioner’s Role for Mega Infrastructure Projects
In the initial stages of a project, Electra Group procures all the necessary permits, licenses and funding for developing mega infrastructure projects in such fields as alternative power generation, sewage purification, gas line deployment and public sector facilities. The engineering and construction phase is then handled by an EPC in the Electra family. Longterm, multi-year O&M contacts are then assumed by the Group for the duration of the project’s lifecycle.
Turning Up the Power - Harnessing Alternative Sources for Energy Production
Electra Power (EP) is the newest member of the Electra family, a move that augments the Group favorably in competing for major infrastructure projects in the fields of electric power generation, water management and natural gas. Electra Power maintains a special emphasis on executing renewable energy projects that are powered by alternative, non-conventional energy sources, such as pumped storage hydroelectricity. This approach to power generation is highly cost-effective, ensuring that power plants continue operating at peak efficiency and optimal load balancing.
EP is a logical outgrowth of the Group’s involvement in more traditional high voltage electrical infrastructure projects and presents a new avenue for lucrative business development. EP looks forward to benefiting from the core competencies of other Electra subsidiaries with whom they can collaborate on various aspects of these large scale undertakings.
Build, Operate, Transfer - Delivering End-to-End Projects in the Service of the Public
Electra Ltd. has extensive experience in executing large-scale, turnkey B.O.T projects (Built Operate Transfer) on behalf of the public sector. Assuming end-to-end responsibilities for the financing, construction, operation and maintenance of such undertakings requires a synergy of core competencies in multiple disciplines.
It’s therefore a natural fit for the Electra Group, whose abilities to collaborate and finance projects involving construction, electromechanical systems and other specialized infrastructures, and oversee their management and operation upon completion are at the heart of the Group’s Consider it Done ethos. Elco has the technical expertise and financial backing to offer comprehensive services for B.O.T. projects, enabling both a quick return on initial construction costs and a high level of operation services to the complete satisfaction of its customers in the public sector.
The Electra Group is involved in several high profile B.O.T. projects on the Israeli scene, including the new 32,000 square meter Tel-Aviv Court House, with its five tier underground parking facility, elaborate public receiving entrance halls and twelve-story office tower; sewage purification systems in the cities of Netanya and in Arad; and the rollout of the Israel Gas Line (PRMS).
Electra’s extensive involvement in B.O.T. projects is a tribute to a well-earned reputation, garnered through years of carefully building a richly diverse group of professional companies that appreciate the property development lifecycle and understand how to work together in executing complex large-scale projects.
