    Background

BSR Sarona is a large mixed-use development at the heart of the historic Sarona area of Tel Aviv. It will include 420 apartments across three 40-story towers, as well as five underground parking levels, five commercial and office levels, and various public services, such as kindergartens. Electra Construction is serving as the general contractor for this project, which also extends to building an underground road for Tel Aviv Municipality and requires three heritage buildings to be carefully suspended during part of the construction process.

    Our Activities

The scale of this project, compounded by its location inside Tel Aviv’s Sarona Park, which only has a single access road, required extensive planning and close cooperation among the relevant Electra Building companies. This came into play even prior to the start of construction activities, as clearance, demolition, excavation, and disposal works were performed to prepare the site.

Electra M&E’s VRF division is providing the air conditioning and ventilation systems throughout this large-scale project, which includes 420 apartments and five parking levels, as well as various offices, stores, municipal kindergartens, and more.

Electra Elevators will supply the project with 25 elevators, of which 12 run at a speed of 4 m/s and will serve 43 landings. As the elevator systems must be installed simultaneously in each of the three towers, the project teams are required to uphold very strict schedules, despite the logistical challenges posed by the lack of external organizational space.

Alimak has provided three double-deck freight elevators for use during the building construction process. These will be used by the general contractors and various subcontractors to move around and transport equipment throughout the tower construction period.
